Thank You Note Writing Tips

One of the biggest tasks facing all newly engaged and newly married couples is the writing of thank you cards. While all brides and grooms are extremely grateful for the beautiful gifts they receive, actually sitting down and writing out thank you cards for each gift can be almost as stressful as planning the wedding.

Whether you’re a traditional couple and plan to handwrite each individual thank you card or a more modern pair that will be using the convenience of technology to create fabulous pre-printed thank you cards, knowing exactly what to say to your guests can be tricky. A great tool to guide you through the thank you card process is “The Bride’s Thank You Guide: Thank-you Writing Made Easy.” This great book can help you determine what message to put in your pre-printed thank you cards or how to personalize your hand-written thank-you’s. If you’re getting married soon or are already married and are still working on your thank you cards, this book is for you. You can find out more about this book as well as view our entire selection of thank you cards by visiting our online wedding invitation store.

The Clergy Network

Its always so sad when I hear a bride-to-be tell me about how she has had such a hard time finding the perfect wedding minister or wedding officiate for her big day. Some brides and grooms find themselves in a struggle against their parents or even each other when it comes to religious affiliations for wedding ministers, while others’ search for a unique secular wedding officiate has left them with nothing. Of course I always have a little smile when I hear these stories because usually when they are talking to me, it’s because someone has told them about The Clergy Network and I know we can help.

Most of these brides are skeptical at first, but once we talk for a few minutes and they understand that The Clergy Network had been matching brides and grooms with the perfect religious or secular wedding officiates for decades, they soon utter a sigh of relief and begin believing that all hope is not lost. We are all very proud of what we do at The Clergy Network and we hope all of you are just as pleased with our services. If you ever want to know more about us or find out how The Clergy Network came to be, check us out online or call us at (714) 970 8839.

Save-the-Date Cards

One of the newest trends in the world of wedding invitations is the Save-The-Date card. Since most weddings are planned for months or even years, Save-the-Date cards allow brides and grooms to announce their wedding date to guests months in advance, and in turn, allow guests ample time to make arrangements to attend the wedding.

No matter what your unique style or wedding theme, a Save-the-Date card is a great way to give your guests a sneak-peak of your wedding colors, theme or location. For instance, if you’re planning a destination wedding in the Caribbean, a beach themed Save-the-Date card is a great option. Or if you’re planning a more formal ceremony, you can choose a traditional embossed card. You can check out hundreds of Save-the-Date card styles by visiting WeddingHelpers.cceasy’s online wedding invitation store. If you have any questions about any Save-the-Date cards or wedding invitations, give us a call at 1-800-274-0675.

Legally Changing You Last Name on a Passport

When you’re planning a wedding, one of the last things you are probably thinking about is all the paperwork required to legally change your last name once you say “I do.” If you’re like most brides, you just assume that changing your last name will be as easy as filling out a quick name change form and submitting it to your local Social Security office. The Name Change Kit eases this process by doing all the work for you. Our passport experts can walk you through the simple process of changing your last name on your passport with the help of The Name Change Kit. And if you need your last name changed on other documents like a drivers’ license, we can help too. Blind Embossing on Wedding Invitations

One of the questions we are asked often at WeddingHelpers.cceasy.com is if we offer specialty printing options such as blind embossing on our wedding invitations or save the date cards. We do of course offer many various types of specialty finishes including embossing and can create very interesting wedding invitations or other printed materials using this technique.

So what exactly is blind embossing? Blind embossing a technique we use to create a raised design on a wedding invitation or other paper product. The term “blind” refers to the fact that no ink or foil is used to create the raised design – instead an image is pressed into the paper to create the effect. We have lots of brides that choose this technique on their wedding invitations – it creates a very custom and sophisticated look.

Friends as Wedding Officiates

If you’re planning a Southern California wedding ceremony, chances are you’ve already begun thinking about who you want to be your wedding officiate. While some couples prefer to stick with a professional, it is becoming more and more acceptable to have a friend or family member act as a wedding officiate. While this is a valid choice in certain California counties, brides and grooms will still want to know that whomever they choose to preside over their wedding properly understands their part in the ceremony.

Since I began the Clergy Network, we have trained friends and family members to act as wedding officiates. Usually, brides come to us to ensure that the friend they have chosen gets the job done right. And since we are the only company that actually offers a training program for friend or family officiates, you can imagine how relieved our couple are when they find out our training exists. I’ll do my best to post more details about our one-day family/friend wedding officiate training program nest time I stop by. Until then, have a great day.

Name Change Kit and the Busy Season

We can always tell that it’s Wedding Season at The Name Change Kit because the calls from brides looking for a quick and easy way to change their name once their married seem to be non-stop. Since this time of year is considered one of the most popular times to get married, you can imagine the number of brides trying to change their name in the following weeks. That means that if you’re standing in line at your Social Security office to get your last named change, you should expect to spend even more time than average in line since your most likely one of hundreds of new brides in the area.

Thankfully, the brides that choose The Name Change Kit don’t have to deal with lines of any sort. All our clients do is tell us what state they live in and we send them a tailored kit to ease the process of changing their name. Our kits are customized for each bride, but almost always include name change forms for changing a name on a passport, social security card and drivers license. We love the Wedding Season at The Name Change Kit – it keeps us busy, but that’s the way we like it

Who Knew It Could Be So Easy!

It is still always amazing to me that I get such a “wow” reaction when I tell people about The Name Change Kit. While I am not surprised people think the product is great, I am shocked to learn how many people had no idea such a tool existed. Most people tell me that they put off changing their name after they were married or divorced because it required so much work. Some people have even said they had to take a day off of work to stand in line at their local Social Security office. Long gone are those days!

While The Name Change Kit has been around for over a decade, there are still women out there that unfortunately don’t know it exists and are wasting hours or days trying to get their name changed on their own. The Name Change Kit simplifies the entire process and most women I speak with are really excited to find out that changing their name doesn’t have to be a painful process.

Here’s to saving time and making life easier!

Wedding Clergy and Wedding Officaites for Every Need

When brides and grooms contact me at The Clergy Network to find out more about hiring a wedding officiate or wedding clergy for their big day, the number one question they ask is what religious affiliation or denomination our officiates or clergy are. This question always makes me smile because I know the answer will be just what every bride and groom wants to hear.

I tell our couples that The Clergy Network provides wedding officiates and wedding clergy for almost every major religious denomination as well as wedding officiates that are affiliated with no particular religious group. Our network is comprised of Catholic priests, Jewish rabbis, non-denominational clergy and secular officiates. So no matter what a couple is looking for, chances are The Clergy Network has the perfect wedding officiate to fit their needs.

Easy Attendant Gifts

No matter how big or small your wedding party is, the one thing that you’re expected to do as a bride is give your attendants a token gift to show your appreciation for their participation in your wedding. I can’t tell you the number of brides that almost forget about this and wait till the very last moment to select gifts for their wedding party. While these wedding accessories may seem like a minor detail in comparison to all the other ToDo’s on your list, the gift you choose to give your attendants is a special memento that they will most likely treasure for a lifetime.

If you take a few minutes to hunt for wedding accessories online, you may find that finding the perfect attendant gifts is easier than you thought. Great wedding invitation sites like www.WeddingHelpers.cceasy.com also have an extensive line of wedding accessories. You can find everything from picture frames to keychains and can even have items engraved for a more personal touch. And for all you procrastinators, www.WeddingHelpers.cceasy.com offers expedited shipping! So even if you’ve waited till the last minute, you can still properly thank your attendants with great gifts.

In Times of Emergency

Last minute stresses are almost always unavoidable no matter what size wedding you’re planning. Whether its tuxedos that don’t fit correctly or flowers that arrive later than scheduled, there are usually a handful of details that can make any bride crazy on her special day. While most of these issues are simply minor inconveniences, there are a few major issues that can arise on your wedding day that can bring your blissful ceremony to a screeching halt. I encourage all the brides I work with to think about the must-haves for any wedding and make emergency back-up plans just in case something goes wrong.

One of the most common problems that can arise is the no-show officiant. Nothing is worse than getting ready to walk down the aisle and getting a call from your wedding officiant to say he or she has had an emergency. This situation can damper almost any ceremony if you’re not prepared. I encourage brides to not only interview their ceremony minister or officiant, but also the company they represent. Reputable companies like The Clergy Network automatically have officiants on “stand-by” if your chosen ceremony minister has an emergency.

While they provide emergency ceremony officiants, The Clergy Network is best known for helping brides and grooms find the perfect wedding officiant for their unique style and personality. No matter what your religious beliefs or ceremony style, The Clergy Network offers a wide range of highly-trained wedding ministers, wedding clergy, justices of the peace, non-denominational clergy and wedding officiates. The company will also train your friend or family member to act as an officiate at your ceremony, but we will talk more about that in next month’s blog!

The Wedding Season

Spring is fast approaching and that means that the prime wedding season is right around the corner. Whether you’re planning an April wedding or a September wedding, once the weather turns warm, you’re completing with millions of other brides for resources. While some brides have well over a year to plan their dream wedding, others may only have weeks or months. No matter how long you’ve had, chances are your beginning to feel the crunch as the big day approaches. Here are a few tips to help brides that are quickly approaching their wedding day complete all the last minute touches without going into stress overload.

1) In order to save your sanity on the big day, be sure that your wedding minister, wedding clergy, justice of the peace or wedding officiate have a back-up in case of emergency. There is nothing worse than a room full of your closest friends and family and no wedding officiator to marry you. You can always visit the Clergy Network to find an emergency wedding minister if this happens – but play it safe and contact them now to find out the particulars.

2) Get your thank-you notes ready now! Nothing is worse than coming home from your honeymoon to a stack of unfinished thank-you notes. If you have received a gift before the wedding, do the smart thing and write the thank-you note immediately. Another clever idea is to have pre-printed cards made. Companies like The Wedding Helpers.cceasy not only print custom greeting cards, wedding invitations and wedding favors, they also offer a wide array of stationery, thank you cards, address labels and other wedding accessories.

3) If you expect to go from Ms. to Mrs. by the time you return from your honeymoon, then begin the name change process now. The Name Change Kit can make changing your name simple and easy. I encourage you to visit their Web site at http://www.thenamechangekit.com/ for details – but I guarantee this will save your time and sanity.

Going from Miss to Mrs - The Name Change Kit

So the wedding day is fast approaching, and now you’re starting to think about all those “after-wedding” details. Sure you’ve practiced saying your new last name over and over again, but have you investigated exactly how to change your name once you move from Miss to Mrs. Believe it or not, changing your last name can be a long and tedious process if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing.

I developed The Name Change Kit and the name change software 15 years ago after many of my friends and clients had stood in line at their local social security offices for hours to change their names. Having been thoroughly frustrated at the process, I realized then that there had to be a better way. That’s when my staff and I pulled together requirements from almost every state and developed a comprehensive, easy-to-use program that made changing your name as easy as turning on your computer – thus http://www.thenamechangekit.com/ was born.

I encourage you to save hours of frustration and visit http://www.thenamechangekit.com/ for more details on the program. You will find great and ACCURATE information on how the name change process works. But don’t just take my word for it; visit our reviews page to find out what experts from ABC National Radio, The Wall Street Journal and Seattle Bride Magazine say about The Name Change Kit.
