Friends as Wedding Officiates

If you’re planning a Southern California wedding ceremony, chances are you’ve already begun thinking about who you want to be your wedding officiate. While some couples prefer to stick with a professional, it is becoming more and more acceptable to have a friend or family member act as a wedding officiate. While this is a valid choice in certain California counties, brides and grooms will still want to know that whomever they choose to preside over their wedding properly understands their part in the ceremony.

Since I began the Clergy Network, we have trained friends and family members to act as wedding officiates. Usually, brides come to us to ensure that the friend they have chosen gets the job done right. And since we are the only company that actually offers a training program for friend or family officiates, you can imagine how relieved our couple are when they find out our training exists. I’ll do my best to post more details about our one-day family/friend wedding officiate training program nest time I stop by. Until then, have a great day.
